Imagining stories, remembering and reflecting on our lives, and exploring and reaching for our hopes for our future can reveal powerful truths, bring us into a deep, rewarding connection with ourselves and others and help us to build a life of freedom and thrive in it. It can be helpful to have people coach or assist us in these processes, but existing services are often expensive, ineffective, time-consuming, and don’t accommodate people’s different needs and preferences. That’s why our founder, Mo, has started an experiment and a discussion to address these problems, three related experiments actually, one in creating fiction, one in creating memoirs, and one in solving the problems of her life, all with other people, maybe you. Mo intends to create standards, systems and methods for this work and a network of people who will use them
You can follow the progress of this experiment in our content and e-newsletter and participate in and support this work by becoming a member on our Patreon page. Members will have access to our discord server and other benefits that we will decide together.
Mo and her creative assistant and editor, Leo, are working on an audio play, “Loving Bots Arrive From Outer Space” in order to inspire hope for a kinder, more sustainable future, facilitate healing and learning, and build community and confidence.
This story relates to problem-solving work in that the robots engage the people of Earth in a global collaborative experiment to imagine a more just and safe alternate history called the Pedalverse, and bring it to life in exhibits, performances, and whole communities. Mo believes that such an effort is possible in the real world, today, and is motivated to engage in it.
Mo also wants to share stories from their past to help people understand them and other people who have experienced extreme states and inspire them to take action and make accommodations to prevent harm and reduce suffering. They hope that with the problem-solving work they will be doing with coaches and assistants, their life story and many others will have a happy ending. To that end, they intend to create structures and places where sensitive people can live, work, and thrive.
Mo has been unable to find the personal services that they want how they want them, with frightening and painful consequences. They have been coerced into “treatment” and hospitalizations they didn’t want for “symptoms” that were the result of not getting what they needed and explicitly asked for. So they are sharing their wishes and inviting people to finally honor them so they and other people can function as adults, recover their emotional, mental and physical health, and build a fulfilling life with good friends and rewarding work.
